Broward County Housing Market March 2019 Update
If you’re wondering if now is the right time to put your Broward County home on the market you’re in the right place. Hi this is Natasha Burkett with Natasha Burkett Homes and I’m coming to you today from the Frank Veltri Tennis Center at Central Park in Plantation. I know, I get it, it’s hard to know who to trust or what to believe. Well, I always say, let’s see what the data tells us. Nationwide, we have the lowest number of single family homes listed on the market since last June. This is important for you, the seller, to know because you won’t be competing with as many homes. Also, historically, April, May, and June are the months where inventory is always the highest. So as a seller, you’ll be competing with more homes if you wait. The other advantage to selling now is that mortgage rates were lower in January than we’ve seen in the past eight months. which means more buyers are qualified to purchase your home now. So, lower interest rates and lower inventory are both an advantage for a seller.
Is The Broward County Housing Market Headed For A Crash?
The major influencers in real estate are all projecting growth and appreciation through 2020. Be careful when you read articles saying that we’re heading into a recession. But what we do see is that home appreciation isn’t increasing quite as drastically as previous years, but the experts are projecting prices will continue to appreciate through 2020, but just at lower levels. This is Natasha Burkett with Natasha Burkett Homes and as always let’s make it a great home selling and buying day. See you on the tennis court.
