What’s happening in the city of Plantation in March? Hi, this is Natasha Burkett with Natasha Burkett Homes. Rock the Park, a free concert series. Bring your lawn chairs or blanket to the ball fields of Central Park to enjoy live music and food trucks on Friday, March 1st. Brass Evolution will be performing. Food trucks open at 6:00, and the concert starts at 7:00. Saturday, March 2nd and 9th, free yoga at Liberty Tree Park at 9:00 a.m. Remember to bring your yoga mat or towel, bottle of water, and sunglasses. On Saturday, March 3rd is the community garage sale from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Volunteer Park. Saturday, March 16th from 10:00 a.m. to noon, children ages seven to 10 are invited to a fun-filled, free bicycle scavenger hunt at Central Park in conjunction with Florida Bicycle Month which includes a safety demonstration by the Plantation Police Department. Participants must come with their own bicycles and helmets. Light refreshments will be served, and prizes will be awarded. Saturday, March 23rd, Touch-A-Truck from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 at the Plantation Equestrian Park. Get up close to touch a police car, fire engine, construction truck, and more. Pony rides and games included. Saturday, March 21st from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00. The third annual 5K for the Kids. This annual event raises money for the Parks and Recreation Scholarship Fund. This scholarship fund helps to provide a safe and enjoyable summer experience for children whose parents are unable to afford the cost of the city’s recreation programs.
